Finally drove the car after LT/chambered muffler install...

Well I finally drove the car today after getting my race style coated Pacesetters on. Last night i drove around for a little bit with just open headers and turn downs, and WOW, it was loud! Today i got my sweet thunder 18 inch chambered mufflers stuck on my headers. (no x-pipe installed yet.) When I get on it alittle, my drivers side muffler smack my floor board! Anyone else have this problem? I'm not really for sure if I am fond of the sound yet or not. Its something I'm not used to. After not driving the car for almost two months, it seems extremly slow but is running good. Basically just suming up my install and results.

Thats the same setup that i have. I think that it sounds awsome but it does hit the floor board unless you have them installed right. Limited ground clearance if you have passengers also. But awsome sound

What did you do about your fuel lines? Mine are really, really close to my muffler so I made a little heat shield out of some that I took off of something else. Everything down there gets so freakin hot! Im worried about the car goen up in flames. I have to get to the exhaust shop soon to get my x-pipe welded up and everything put on right, then the for sale signs going up. Time to try out GM's two seater...

Well the mufflers themselves shouldn't get too very hot...actually. If they are atleast 1 in away from the fuel lines you will be fine. If you look at the pics in my sig you will see that they are like 2 in or so.

I wouldnt even say mine are an inch! I would say maybe a half an inch. Anyways, I got that heat shield up there so maybe ill have good luck. I'm just wondering if its going to be possible to sell it like this. I wonder if i should find some one to trade for a cat-back, which would kind of such since i put all this money/time into it. Also, I'm not to big on the mufflers whacking the floor board.
