finally 10's but not enough:(

We made a bunch of adjustments too the car this last friday. We installed v6 rear springs, raised the front up a bit, pulled the passenger seat, and rear seats, carpet and molding. Lowered the tire pressure down to 17#'s with my et streets. I launched on the spray and finally grew a pair and shifted the car manually. Also gapped the plugs too. 025 as cylinder 4 and 1 seemed too be blowing spark out when I sprayed. These two were quite a bit wetter than the others after a test run on spray. With my 150 shot I ran a new best 10.8@ 125 with a 1.55 60'. On a side note my transmission is now slipping slightly but the ten bolt is still holding strong. Anyways I have a long winter ahead of me and wanna be conpetetive at next years ltxshootout. I wanna build a fully forged motor with a performabuilp/robuilt 700r4. Dana 60 or built ford 8.8 rear. Denny's pro driveshaft, full 10 point cage. Also lots if spray. Im thinking a big direct port setup with 2 20 lb bottles would be sufficient. Any ideas how to make a lt1 camaro hit low 9's high 8's with spray and motor only? I don't mind spending some serious coin if I have too on the motor ,trans, and rear. I know its hard too compete with guys like tony shepherd but I really wanna make this thing drag the bumper! Guaranteed ill have too go with a set of cnc'd afr 227's and a huge solid roller too get anywhere near those times. Any tips or insight will be greatly appreciated. Man I hate snow!!!

Do some research on Jason Warren from Bowling Green Kentucky.

He went 9's for three seasons with a stock crank and 355 LT1. 250hp nitrous shot.

I believe his heads were the stock LT1 ported by Total Engine Airflow.

I know he has one video out there when he first hit the nitrous out of the hole and he stood the car up so far that he literally tore the rear bumper cover off the car.

Here is one you tube link that I found with a quick search:
