115 sounds pretty dissapointing to me, how is the tuning? What did your dyno look like?

Since we don't have a true dyno here I can't say. When I took it to a VW dealership here they had one there. It read 420 bhp @ 5600 rpm and tq was 390 and climbing when the rollers stopped for lack of traction. That was w/ 350lb additional weight sitting in my trunk. The chip that came w/ the engine was garbage so I had Fastchip burn me one and it's the only one that works out of 3 chips Superchips, MGF. I'll try PCM4less down the road possibly when I get back to the states.

Don't know what those readings mean but some say it's good some say it's bad. Honestly I was just happy to have a car running after being down so long w/ issues when I had the LB shipped here and now this?

Unhappy

Well after diggin in. Wasn't the valvetrain at all. Spun the bearings is the outcome. One of the rods failed as well. Whole lot of $$$$$ down the drain on a 2yr old engine. Hopefully I can ship it back to the US inop and let is sit at my Pops for 5yrs or so.
That'll be the only time I'll have the cash to drop another one in. This time though it'll be a low compression 383 w/ a single turbo slapped on it. Until then I'm fbodyless.

See ya guys later,

I went 12.0 @ 114 through an auto @ 3870 lbs on ET Streets on my first shakedown run ever with the 396... stock injectors, stock fuel pump, etc....spinning through 2nd (1.77 60' ).. I never ran it again since I put the 36# and new fuel pump in there...

I would say that it isn't a terrible run, but it could definetly be better with traction.......

You aren't the first person to post problems with ARE... that's for sure...

That really sucks about your motor.....
