a few water pump questions...

ok just doin a little re-search here, did a few searchs on electric waterpumps and found out alittle about how they work, but im still curious of one thing. my waterpump is goin down now, just started leakin within the last few days (just noticed last night while changing oil) if i get an electric water pump do i still need to get a new waterpump in this case? from what i see the electric ones just bolt on to where the t-stat use to go and use whatever you already have for a housing (after you remove all the mechanical stuff) so would i still need to buy a new water pump housing too?

No, remove all the guts and the elec. W/P goes on the front of the housing. You won't have to worry about coolant leaking out of the weep hole anymore either.

You may have already discovered that installing the electric pump has nothing to do with the thermostat or it's housing.
