Few stroker questions?

Im in the process of building a 383 with lloyed heads and thinking of going with a gm 847 cam. Is this a good shelf cam? or should i go with a diffrent cam ( i didnt buy the heads from lloyed so his cam is out of the question i think). And will i need new fuel injectors and would 30lb be enough? I found a preety good deal on some so im thinking of getting them. i also plan on doing pacesetter longtubes and a 52mm tb. Im hopeing for around 420rwhp but would be happy with 400at the wheels. The heads flowed
1500- 102.5 /76.2
2500- 163.0 /120.5
4500- 254.2 /174.7
5500- 271.5 /190.2
6000- 272.7 /193.4
6500- 272.2 /194.4

Are my goals atainable or should i rethink my plan of action? Any susgestions would be appriciated.

P.s. i dont have to pass a sniffer test either.

Thanks guys

Re: Few stroker questions?

I really like mine. I had the XE 224/230 in my 355 and the 847 cam is a considerable jump from that. I currently run 30 pound SVOs and may end up going larger after I get some dyno results in, or leave them in if they're fine. I also have a 52 MM TB and long tubes. Those are deffinetly advizable for this set up. My heads flow a bit better than yours, but yours should work fine. Performance wise, it's a blast. No complaints from me. A cam matched to the heads will always be better, but I did things a little bassakward and bought the cam first and then had the heads ported. Some day soon I'll get some dyno numbers so I can figure out where I'm at with it.

If I where you I would contacyt lloyed and see if he will sell you a cam that is matched to his heads and your motor combo. I don't see why he wouldn't sell you a cam just because you already have a set of heads.

Re: Few stroker questions?

I would go with 36# injectors. That's what I have in my 383 and they seem to be the most popular choice.

The GM 847 is a popular cam and works well in a stroker application.
However to get the best cam for your combo requires a custom grind.

I would call Lloyd on that one and see what he can do for you.
