im sure that whine you hear is the car taking its last breath. i get the same thing with my K&N CAI. since you have a WS6 the air filter area is probably about the same as the aftermarket CAI kits and that will cause the sucking whining sound. just stand next to it with your hood up and have a friend shut off your car.. you will see what im talkin about.

 

Is the whine at high rpms? Because I have noticed that our cars love to make a whining noise past 5K on the ol' tachometer. So if it is whining at high rpms, that just normal engine noise.
As long is it is a small engine whine, sort of like a really small supercharger
