I installed the valve cover gaskets again and this time used a ****load of RVT because I wanted it to seal instead of leak and i tightend them down really good. Will this be alright?

let the sealant dry for a day before you start it up, or as long as you can, the longer the better, and did you torque them down the specs i gave you?

I use no sealant with stock gm rubbber gaskets. No leaks in 116K miles and I reused them on the new motor and still no leaks.

found out whats wrong i think the dip stick has a hole in the side of it at the top so when i would rev it up to a certain rpm the pressure would shoot it out the hole all over the passenger side looking like it was the cylender heads!

yeah i just did my intake gasket for the first time, seeing how many guys had problems with them leaking after they did the job, took my time cleaned everything, correct toque and no leaks so im happy, only thing im pissed about is the intake gasket going when my car only has 24k on it, you would think gm would have a recall on the gaskets and the flaw in the design, from what ive see on here, manygaskets go, and if you cant fix it yrselve, its a big time labor job for a gm dealer to charge yr ***
