I agree with that 100%. Jeff is a great guy and was a pleasure to do business with. I called him a week or two ago and he still remembered me on a first name basis. I've never had a single problem with him and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

these guys have treated me really great, no problems, i heard you had many more problems with your car that you were not willing to fix that they suggested being fixed, these guys are like anyone else they will do the job for you the way YOU want it done. just like everywhere else you always here about the bad things a business does and not much of the good. as for me they have given me great prices and great service and i would not suggest staying away from them because of this guy. sorry about your bad luck but they told you it would happen, you didnt listen now you are bashing them on the net because of it, that is pretty damn shady dude

If you paid 1600 dollars and still had an oil leak and your engine spun a bearing while it was in there care you would be upset to...the motor was making a chirping noise when i picked it up......it wasn't doing that when i dropped it off.....and yes there was rtv sealant along the pan thats why i was gettin it fixed....that was the problem.....I have all the receipts and prices...im in the process of getting quotes for the work they did for me....and the only other problem was the wiring harness, i had new o2 sensor wires ran from the pcm directly to the o2 sensor....which they wanted to charge me an additional 250 bucks for a used wiring harness....ridiculous the car was running great until they got it.........i will take legal action. I talked to Jay up there and he said they would fix the oil leak, alot of good that does me now there supposed to be specialist for fbodys and they cant fix an oil leak come on.... I would just be happy if they gave me the money back for the labor not the parts...so i could get it fixed......

I can understand where your coming from. But don't get caught up in what we, the message board community, think. It just complicates the issue. Other peoples experience good or bad is irrelevant to the service that you received. If the problems w/ FBody Motor sports can't be worked out, and an agreement met (outside of court) then perhaps there needs to be more action.

Good luck.... shoppes that rip you off, and do do the work properly kind of ruin the fun of motorsports.

i just dont think that bashing them for this incident is appropriate at all, i am friend with all those guys there and there is a little more to the story than you are telling. i think as a fellow f body owner if you go down there and lose the attitude you could work something out but you know there is a lttle more wear on that engine before they touched it than you are telling. if they blew it up for you they would have fiixed it. try talking to them and not using the attitude you may get a little further, but anyways good luck . whatever you decide.

So I guess since his motor had some things wrong with it, and it just happened to blow the short amount of time they had it, it is his fault.

There are always two sides so I can't pass judgement. Good luck to whichever party deserves it.

Re: Fbody motorsports in charlotte...bad business

nope didnt say that at all, but they did tell me when they were working on it that it had many worn parts in the engine that the owner wasnt willing to fix...i dont even know his name all i know him as is the "customer" it is just the fact that 2 or 3 bad words can really hurt a man/shop esspecially in a tight group like we are all in,if you are gonna bash them tell the whole story, thy may be in part to blame i dunno but befor this post was born and before he got the car back i knew that it hadd some really owrn stuff that he didnt want to fix, but then again i wasn't there holding there hands but they told me they would not have fixed it that way if it were there car. they did what was requested

I dealt with Jeff Creech when I lived in NC a couple years ago. I've only met a few people besides him who take as much pride in their work, one of them being Jeff Spiller of Extreme Performance in OKC, OK. There are NUMEROUS people in GMMOC who will also vouch for Creech.

Re: Fbody motorsports in charlotte...bad business

Many worn parts...huh they told me that everything was really clean in the motor itself and everything was tight. The only issue they had was the wiring harness which i knew about and had no issues with that....So i didn't replace it....I also have a voicemail on my phone were jay admits to the gauge reading over 260. And i have talked to them calmly, they will fix the oil leak but alot of good that does me now. After seeing that they have all ready been reported to the better business bureau i dont want them touching the car. I would just like some of my money back to fix the car properly....

Re: Fbody motorsports in charlotte...bad business

I believe that if they did that, and you have a voicemail on your phone stating this, you basically have them by the *****. Most definately get your lawyer to give them a call, go ahead and have another mecahnic look at your car if possible..get a second opinion. There is no doubt in my mind that you won't get your money back, if it was what you say it is....cut and dry. They will be dumb to not give it back, if you do have to take it to court, then do so. **** you can get a used engine and have it put back in for $1600. You could probably even get a decent rebuild for the engine for that money. Word of advice, and I know its been said before..if you can do the work yourself then you would probably be better off doing it yourself.

BTW: It will be your word against there's but if you do have to go to court, it will be a good thing that they told you that everything inside the engine looked very good, and clean. Make sure you do some reseach as well, i know somebody posted the complaints that were made about them to the BBB, bring that information as well. It will help the judge see F body Motorsports true colors. **** take this to Judge Judy, she'll handle this!!

Re: Fbody motorsports in charlotte...bad business

1,600 is a rediculous charge... I'm trying to figure out how they knew how worn your engine was? Did they dissasemble it? I don't really vouche for the comments from shoppes... business will say anything to make themselves look good. I'm sure if they qouted you 1,600 to fix an oil leak... you probably weren't interested in shilling them out anymore money to fix anything else on the car... I wouldn't.
