Fastest N/A LT1?

Curious to see who the fastest N/A LT1's are. Any details on the combo (motor:CID, heads, cam, trans, raceweight, injector size, what is used for fuel management (FAST, stock computer tuning, etc.)) would be cool.

Cammed, soon to be headed 93Z. 8.47 in the 1/8th. Makes about a deep 13 second. Stock tranny and rear-end.

O. Thought you were just looking for everyone to post and then compare. Seeing how this has been discussed 10,000 times.

Do a search for the word "fastest" like I did. There isnt much there except "Fastest LT1 with a 6-speed", "Fastest with a drag radial", etc. Nothing about the FASTEST n/a LT1. Whoever is THE fastest N/A LT1 is what I am looking for. Would like to compare combos to see where I will be in the group.

There arent any links on his page. I would like more info on his setup. Any idea on cam specs (lift and duration @ .050)? What is considered BIG AFR heads?

Well I guess I should have been more specific. A 13 second car is not what I was looking for.

10.99 and faster N/A is what I would like to hear.

Thats what I had figured, and I too respect that. I think we will be low 10's n/a when the car is finished. Wont know until the spring but we are getting ready to fire the car within the next 6 weeks.

You responded with a 13-second example, LT1 S-10 clarified what he was looking for by specifically asking for only big(ger) cube strokers with solid roller cams.

Everyone knows there are NA LT1s all over the 12s and 13s. The ones running low 10s and 9s are few and far between, though, and the quickest and fastest don't always remain so. No matter if this has been discussed 10,000 times or not, the pecking order is always subject to change.

BTW, LT1 S-10, better specify vehicle too... not everyone drops their stroked solid roller LT1 into an F-body.

jimlab,

Thanks for the clearification.

The LT1 is going in an f-body (the same car it came in). I cant give you too many details but it should run very well. We are shooting for 3300 race weight, and hoping to tune for low-mid 10 n/a. "Tune" is the key word there...

p.s. Does anyone know what Joe Overton uses for injectors?

With my respect, what is secret those days. Go to a reputable engine builder and they will give the best combo you dream of with big smile.
