joe isn't doing cams anymore.....If you want one of his old grinds the big one I might be able to hook you up

Cam only I don't know.....stock eliminators get down there with stock lift

I think the Lethal EFI fastest ported head stock bottom end was 10.80's

you might be suprised how many stockers get driven for ice cream....it takes allot more than a cam to make a cam only combo work though as I am sure you already understand.

The highest I have personally seen is 463rwhp (Dynojet 248C SAE throu TH350) on a hydro roller, NHRA legal heads (cam was not legal). I see no reason why 430 should not be realitivly easy. Believe or not...these deals are relatively easy on parts!

you are correct, and that was a good running car. The best legal cars right now make around 435-440. I have seen cars make a little more, but don't make it down the track. Really, it almost becomes a tuning game at that point in FIA due to the manifold design. It is not abnormal to see a run down to 86 KPA in the VE table on the big end!!!!

Guys have been getting caught for manifold sectioning. You can see it in the amount of b and c cars for sale right now.

kind of silly, as I don't know anyone with a good setup that is going under nearly as hard as they can! being afraid to touch the index so much they sell their ride? crazy times!!!

So what cam specs should I be looking at?

This is not a track car, so I dont care if my car is legal or not since it wont see alot of track time...

hmm..if it was only that easy. Most comp. lobes are protected. Plus even if you knew the .050,.200, and lobe lift...it still would not work.

Are you familiar with keeping up with a solid roller?

So, you're not going to race at the track, what exactly are your goals for the car?

What are you trying to do with this cam only car? I dont care what cam you have in the car its not gonna be anywhere near some of the faster cam only cars unless you drop some serious weight. I have went 11.7 cam only in my car with a small CC305 cam and some weight reduction. Most larger cam only cars are in the mid to low 12s.

Well the car will see some track time, but I dont really have alot of time for that....

You also dont need the biggest cam, im looking for some one to grind me a badass cam...

That doesnt mean it has to be .720 lift soild roller blah blah

Im not impressed at all with anything off the shelf for LT1s, and please dont tell me how great your cam is, becasue this isnt what the thread is about. Unless is a custom cut one and your sharing info about it

Lets stay on track
