fans/ac/temp gauge issues

hi guys,

i'be been having some problems getting cool air from my a/c and now my cooling fans come on when i start and stay on and the temp gauge is acting erratically:

my a/c freon was low so in order to get the compressor running to add freon i reset the pcm and jumped the sensor/switch the a/c line. while trying to jump the sensor the compressor didn't come on. i plugged it back in to the a/c line and the compressor came on and i topped off the freon. all seemed to be normal - fans were on as normal with the a/c on max.

i didn't drive the car for a few days and when i started it back up (with no a/c on) i heard the fans running??? i put on the a/c and it's not working again - no cool air? the coolant temp gauge is also sitting at low and then as i drive for 10-15 mins it'll wake up and jump to 210 and stay there (fans still on).

any ideas on the sequence of events what might be happening?

thanks in advance.
