Fan Wiring Question

I need help on the wiring of the radiator fans.

I recently installed a new electric water pump and just want to ask some questions before I wire it. Wiring the pump is the only part I was hesitant about.

I have a 96 Camaro Z28. There are two fans on the radiator. I was going to run the wire that turns the pump on from these fans. However one fan has a white wire going in and one has a blue wire going in (and then the two black ground wires). My question is when do these wires turn the fans on and is it okay to run the wire turning on my pump out of here.

My original post about the pump is here

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Another location is to wire your hot to the fuse/relay box on the driver side. There is a KEY ON position device on the engine side of the fuse/relay box that can be utilized vs the fan wiring. I'd say NO WAY to wiring to the fans because they are programmed to come on at a certain temp via PCM unless you have a fan switch. Either way a standalone HOT powersource would be more reliable.

Something similar to the way Ken did his would be appropriate.

You should run from the relay to the red juction block for your power source.
