False Knock?

I appear to have some false knock issues....About 5 degrees occurs about 4500 rpm, then about 5700 rpm.
I have an LT4 knock module, rollers,.218-230 .528-.544 114 lsa ,etc, with an ATI procharger 9 psi intercooled.
Tuning by PCMFORLESS...Why would i pickup knock at the lower rpm?
I went to the track the other night, ran 12.51 @ 119mph forst pass, then lost MPH on the next 4 passes....I could feel it wasn't all there. kind of "faded"...
Heat soak would account for some of it, i wish i would have logged the passes!
Any suggestions on where to look?
I'm going back to the dyno friday and i would like to correct this.
I made 451 RWHP the last time, and now i have a more refined tune....I have the Datamaster logs if anyone wants to peak.
Thanks

Re: False Knock?

get some xylene from a paint store about 2 gallons add to half tank of gas, this raises octane,or you could use some race gas. this will determine if the knock is false or not, have bryan either tune out or desensitize your knock module. when bryan tunes the care he allows only 5 degrees of knock to be pulled even though your engine is propobly trying to pull more.i increased my timing from 33 which bryan at pcmforless did to 38 and eliminated my 5 degrees my car was pulling after i determined it was false knock,he also added some timing down low to eliminate my cam surge the car pulls unbelievable and i hope to be over 400rwhp,i was at 386rwhp before the tuning.a local tuner here in florida named bob did this for me he also does head work and his heads are seing some incredible numbers he has this coating he adds to the heads to keep temps down when i get more info i will post

Re: False Knock?

Do a search and go to Radio Shack and get the proper resistor and install inline on your knock sending unit. This fools the computer if it is false knock. If it isn't false knock you need to retune your CPU.
