failed emissions - help

I live in dyer, indiana near chicago I took my car to the emissions lane today and these are my readings (HC Mine 8.19 standard 0.80) and carbon monoxide (Mine 22.60 standard 15.00). My mods are hotcam kit, home ported heads, mac headers, rebuilt stock bottom end, and everything else is stock right now. I have all emissions equipment on and working, no codes, and a functioning cat ( 1000 miles on it). I know I am running pretty rich becuase I have no tuning done after the hotcam kit and rebuild since the rebuild it has only 500 miles on it and it seems like it is burning oil very slightley. Can anyone give any advice? I do not know why it is burning oil yet and my plates expire tomorrow.

well i've heard the hotcam will pass only with a good tune, so that might've been your problem..

i'm in your shoes though - my plates expire tomorrow and I have to pass smog before i can reregister.

I'm just hoping there's some sort of grace period - last year the DMV was late in sending me my new tags, and I drove my car for about a month without the new tags without being pulled over...

well the no tuning is definatly your problem, my car has 72lb injectors and its tuned for a charger, and its just running rich as hell and definatly wount pass emissions. Either get yourself tunercat or take your car to a place and have it well tuned, it might pass, if not go find someone who will pass it

would the oil burning have a bigger inpact than the overly rich part?
