Factory Temp Sending unit on 95 camaro.

Anyone know exactly where this is on a 95 camaro.... I'm trying to find it because i am trying to get my dash temp to work... I don't know if i forgot to hook it up or if i need to purchase a new one but i can't seem to find it..
Any easy way of tellin me where it is?
Thanks for the help.

There are two coolant temp sensors. The one you are looking for is located on the driver side cylinder head between cylinders 1 and 3. It has a gray plug with a one-wire connection.

The other sensor is for the PCM, and is located in the water pump housing.

I looked this morning and there was just a flat spot there so i dunno if the person before me plugged it or not... But this engine was out of a 94 caparice does that make any difference as to where it would be located or still located the same place?

All LT1 water pumps have the hole for the temp sensor in the same place. Perhaps you were looking at the boss that is closed on non-f-body pumps that goes to the oil cooler bypass hose.

Look here to compare:

The one on the water pump is fine... I'm lookin to make the gauge on the inside of my dash work it worked before we put this engine in ... So i'll have to double check again but i didn't see a hole or a bolt there to plug it... Which the person who had this engine b4 me put a lot of plug offs in it so i didn't know if maybe there was another spot for this temp sending unit to be for the gauages to work

Here. You can see the location in this picture of my motor. It's the gray plug between the first and third cylinder.
