Factory Alarm Location

Does anyone know where the factory alarm module is in a 96 Z28? My factory alarm stopped working. The keyless entry still works but nothing with the alarm. I pulled the spare tire cover and checked the shock sensor. The little red light on it lights up when it's hit. Anyone have any clues as to what's going on?

Thanks,
HF

Anyone have any idea? Is it part of the keyless entry module in the passenger side kick panel?

I too would also like to know the answer to this. I just purchased my car, and nothing on the key remote works. So, I can't unlock, lock, arm the alarm, etc...

I've been looking for fuses or such, but so far have been unsuccessful.

Thanks!

I believe it is in the driver's side kick panel. That is where mine was located. I noticed it while replacing the ignition switch.

In the driver's side, huh. Does anyone know why it wouldn't work? Is this a common problem?

Thanks,
HF

The security system is part of the BCM that is located behind the glove box on the HVAC housing.

Hello all,

Well, my problem still persists. Today, I pulled off the majority of the interior panels, found the alarm receiver (according to pictures provided by shoebox), and also the alarm shock sensor in the rear. The shock sensor works, or atleast the LED lights up when tapped.

However, my remote doesn't work at all. I just purchased a brand new battery for the remote, put it in, followed the instructions and still nothing. I can't use keyless entry nor my alarm.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do? I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I think our problem is the same.

Thanks!
