Factor freak?

My car is a 95 z28 and has been some what modified by me but thats beside the point. I was looking at the gage cluster on my car and it only goes up to 120. Do some z28's have gage clusters that go up to 120 or did soem one replace the gage cluster? I'm just wondering maybe some one could help. Thanks
Wes

The car came from the factory with non Z rated tires. That's why your speedo only goes up to 125. You also have a gov. if you haven't disabled it or didn't know. So to answer your question, yes some cars came with the 125 speedo.

And to get that gov. off all you have to do is get a programmer of some kind!

unless you upgrade to Z rated tires, I wouldn't go about removing the speed limiter.

So how do I get rid of the governor if I am going to get Z-Rated Tires?

Send your pcm to pcmforless or get a programmer and do it yourself. But who needs to go more than 114 . J/K

Didnt the cars that had the 120mph speedo and non z-rated tires also only come with 2.73's? Or am i wrong?

Yes I believe that I read somewhere that if you have 3.23s you MUST have Z-Rated tires.
Yet you can have Z-Rated tires and 2.73s

Look at your options tag, I believe it should be in your glove box. The cars with the 3.23's had RPO G92, not positive but I am pretty sure that is right. As for the 125mph speedo and 3.23's, I believe those were to different options. I know with 3.23's you got the engine oil cooler.

With the A4 came 2.73 (GU2) or 3.23 (GU5) If M6, '94 up came with 3.42 (GU6).

Another way to tell is to look at your shifter. If it has a "1" selection, you have 3.23 gears. If the lowest gear you can select is "2" you have 2.73's.

Not all cars received the oil cooler. It was "supposed" to be an automatice option once you went with the 3.23's "performance axle", but not all recieved the cooler. It may also only be for the northern climate cars as well. Maybe the reason mine doesn't have one?

BTW, no no one has taken it off, it's not even listed in my RPO codes
