F body experts needed on questions?

I have 2 question about my car. Had it for about a year and a half and it's right at about 100,000 miles. I just added some stuff to the car but nothing to really make a difference in performance. Anyways it has started making a noise that sounds like it's coming from under neath the shifter when i hit the brakes or throw it in reverse. I have an automatic by the way. It sounds liek a popping with a rattling sound. Any suggestions on what it could be? Next I ran the car at the 1/8 mile track this weekend and it ran 9.3's. Is this good for a car that only has custom pcm tunning for the fan temp and shifting point that runs on 93 oct. and has a 160 thermostat with slp loudmouth? Just wondering and maybe you could give me an idea of what i would run based on that time in the 1/4. The car is basically stock.

Well thanks for the info on the 1/4 mile. That means i should be running like 13.9's on a basically stock lt1. Is that fast slow or average for an lt1? Oh and about the other question as i stated above it is an auto and it makes the sound under light braking and when kind of like riding the brake n reverse. Any idea yet?

transmission mount.. little thing at the end of the tranny. 13.9 is pretty decent for stock auto lt1

Yes i can't figure out why it runs that good. I mena it has 2.73 gears. They said if i just changed the gears to 3.42's then I would be in the 8's for the 1/8 mile. The computer has the shift points set up kind of liek getting a shift kit but still i think thats good for no engine work.

I have no idea... The reverse problem is because your on the brake.... It only happend to me when i braked. Sounds like a bunch of metal bb's hitting a pan. I think its when the rpms drop, that makes it happen. but then again you dont really get to high in the rpms while reversing... i duno but that was what my problem was, only braking.
