Extending the O2 sensor wires.
Extending the O2 sensor wires.
For my dyno install how much longer do I have to make the wires?
and can I do it by just splicing the wire in?
I'm deleting the rear O2
I tried a search and couldnt find what I was looking for, but I know I have seen it befor.

For my Jet-hot LTs I only needed to extend my passenger side O2. When doing it make sure you extent the PCM side of the wiring, not the actual O2 side
Its pretty simple to do.

this is for a hooker LT install
He means to extend the wires coming from the wiring harness. Not the wires coming from the O2 sensor itself. I extended the wires coming from the O2 itself and I am not having any problems. My car is running really well. I am going to put the scanner on it soon and make sure though.
I was in a pinch and extended the wires on the O2 side, b/c i figured if it got messed up i could just buy a new O2 sensor and get a real extension instead of replacing the wiring harness part. just my .02

Just buy an extension harness. They come in 12, 24
and 36 inch lengths. I used a 36" for my true dual
install and it works great.

but I'll look.
and I'd hate to spend 30 bucks on something that cost 3 bucks in wire and solder
It was a time/money situation for me. I had the
money and not the time so I bought the extender.
Casper's had a free shipping offer at the time so
I got it in two days and saved a few $$.
The extender is also much nicer and cleaner than
what I would have made myself.
