Expecting too much from 383?

Unless you want a mid-11's or faster car, the hotcam will get you there.
Why use the hotcam when better cams can get you more power and better driveability?

My 2 cents, nothing wrong with a small cam in a 383 as ABA383 said, but the HotCam might not be the right choice.

Noted above, but my 350 hotcam pulled 339RWHP. I would assume the 383 should add a dozen or more extra.

I would think that or even more. My point is, there is probably a small cam that if matched to the flow #'s (if he has any) that will out HP the HotCam and still be the driver he is looking for. I personally know a few guys that have the HotCam in 350s and I think they preform great. Does't mean I would put one in a 383 however. Like I said though, just my 2 cents.
