Exhaust Shops?
Exhaust Shops?
How do you get exhaust shops to work on your car if you have no cats?
I have Pacesetter LT's, ORY, Magnaflow catback, and no cats....and I need some of it welded and the y-pipe on the pass. side needs to be reworked so it matches up better.
If someone knows of a shop that will do this anywhere in the Victoria,Houston,San Antonio, or Corpus Christi area please let me know.
Thanks

Re: Exhaust Shops?
I think that it is in some states it is highly illegal for shops to work on your exhaust with no cats. Some sort of huge fine, forget exact #'s though. You just pretty much gotta know people.
Re: Exhaust Shops?
I needed to have a couple of cats. welded into my ORY pipe. Several shops refused to help me. One shop did do the job for me. I explained what happened at the other shops and the owner said that when he files the paperwork, he put my car in as being off-road use only. Maybe it is just the shops way of covering their hide, I'm not sure.
Re: Exhaust Shops?
When you say "exhaust" shop, you mean a name brand like Midas or Meineke? Why don't you find a local speed shop that does aftermarket mods. A lot of the chain stores will shy away from anything that is not street legal.
Find yourself a trusted speed shop in your area...preferable that specializes in GMs.
