Well since none of the aftermarket exhausts will make your car sound like a maserati, only one other choice

I have Flowmaster which is a pretty good sound, but I don't think it's what your looking for. I'm going change out my exhaust here some time and I'm still not sure what I want Corsa, magnaflow, SLP?
I'm looking more for a deeper sound than what I have which is a kind of raspy sound.

Reminds me of a few days ago when I tried recording the sound of my mom's SS to use as my ringer when she called me, and I couldn't hear anything but wind sounds. Damn lack of subwoofer in phone.

I'd just record the Maserati and play it when I feel down.

Shopping for an exhaust on youtube or internet sound sites isn't the best idea. What sounds awesome on your speakers may sound completely lame in person. Your best bet is to go out to some shows or meets in your area and see what people are running and see how they sound in person.

Wow, I don't like any of those n2ceptor. They really managed to make that Murcielago sound like ***!

Check out how amazing the stock LP640 exhaust sounds:

Unfortunately, as usual with exhaust, if you don't have a subwoofer on your speaker system, you're not going to hear what it really going on.

Sure sounds great on my end! I've been around quite a few of these in person, and with the sub, it sounds just right! Without it... I can't hear much at all...

So much better than the lawnmower Edo made it sound like.

I think I figured this out, well... for the most part. What I need to have is a custom cat-back built, but not from scratch. It'll have the combination resonator-x-pipe from the Maserati (part #5).

Which will lead into two pipes obviously, instead of one like the Y-pipe, go over the axle, and lead into a single muffler similar to the way this guy made his true-duals:

This won't be a high output modified car (350 hp MAX, 300 hp more likely), so 2.25" or 2.5" dual pipes should be plenty big enough and still go over the axle on one side no problem!

The questions that still remain are: What cat-back exhausts do you guys know of that use an X-pipe instead of of a Y-pipe and a SINGLE muffler for an LT1? I don't like the way the outlet pipes lead from the muffler above, it seems like a lot of extra pipe. The stock muffler doesn't look like that...

Does anybody know a good website to look at exhaust like this? I normally just look at SLP's site, but doubt they have anything like this.

Exhaust pros, let me know what you think of the plan. I'm a noob.

That is my Bassani set-up above, and here is a low quality sound clip of it at start-up.

I like my loud mouth exhaust with my moroso racing muffler. But I think it will be louder than you want . http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MOR-94055/

That actually sounds surprisingly good! It sounds a lot better than the other brands that I've found that also make dual inlet/dual outlet mufflers. Is it a really low rumble in real life? I don't rear a lot of clicketty clacks in it. Does it pop like crazy after you rev it? Or is it just a roar and then smooth?
