I just started noticing an exhaust rattle. It seems to be comming from the Catalytic coverter area. It's noticeable at idle and with a slight tapping of the throttle. I've inspected around the area, and the heat shield above the CAT seems to be fine. I couldn't find anything else in the area that could be causing the noise.

Is it possible that it's something internal with the CAT? The CAT is not old...it has only been on the car for about 6 months...and is a Random Tech.

Short of taking this to an exhaust shop...I'm out of ideas.
