blower vs. bolt-ons

I just bought a 95Z A4/2.73.I love the car but would like to bring it up to LS1
performance levels.I am trying to decide what way to go.Do I do a traditional
headers,cam,catback,3.73 gear combination or should I save my money and
just get a 6lb. supercharger? It`s not all about the money or the bang for buck
factor.I really like this car and I really don`t want to deal with header leaks
burnt wires and whining gears etc.I just want to turn the key hit the gas and
and be gone. What kind of hp. and 1/4 mile times could I expect on completely
stock car with a 6lb blower kit?

That being the case, just stick to bolt ons. There are a number of guys who've gone low-mid 12 second 1/4's with bolt ons and suspension tuning.

if i were you and had an auto, i would get gears, stall converter, and sticky tires. With that combo you would launch like a bat out of hell(hence you said hit the gas and go). Then id get longubes, catback, cai, and a cam with a grind like a cc305. With these mods, you will have fun with ls1's
