exhaust questions

ok i have a 94 Z28 and i am lookin in to ways to make it sound better, it has stock manifolds and a gutted cat and a cheap muffler with chrome tips on it. What should i get to make this car sound really awesome? thanks for any advice

What are your emission requirements? If you dont have any emissions then a pair of longtubes and a good catback will do the trick. You could also go the true duals route if the want IMO the best sound but they will lose you some ground clearance depending on what setup you go with. If you do have emission tests then instead of longtubes you could go with shorties or mid lengths.Kooks, pacesetter, hooker, jet-hot, and AS&M are popular brands of longtubes. Magnaflow, hooker, B&B, borla, GMMG and corsa are popular brands of catbacks and there are many more out there.

Personally, I loved the sound of my exhaust cutout on the stock manifolds and y-pipe.
