Exhaust Questions
Exhaust Questions
My car has the long tube headers with an awsome custom Y pipe with the stock muffler and everything else. Would a single strait through muffler be a bit to much for the street or should i stick to premanufactured "tuned" exhaust systems. Would this be too loud and could i have back pressure issues.

A glass pack would be waaaay too loud. I had headders and !cat with a flowmaster 40 series and it was way too loud.
Re: Exhaust Questions
i'd reccommend a tuned system
i had the old exhaust cut off my car while i was trying to get a pipe to hook up the new one (cutout) and it was too loud
your straight through is gonna be almost as loud
personally, i just don't want cops to hear me everywhere i go
with my gmmg and 6spd, i can keep unnoticed if i want

Re: Exhaust Questions
I have MAC mids with a 12" bullet muffler in place of the cat, and the Hooker catback and it is borderline loud. The quality of the sound is excellent, but it's louder than some might like. Not objectionable though. Sounds incredible.
Definately go for one of the tuned systems (Hooker, Magnaflow, SLP TOTL)
