exhaust question
exhaust question
right now my car has just a flowmaster muffler, stock piping and a gutted cat, would a catback exhaust give me a power increase,or would it just be louder?? im trying to decide if i should go with the catback first,or get 373s
Re: exhaust question
It would give it another 3-4 RWHP.
Inless its a Borla, or something like that, with a built in "cutout" to open the exhaust up. These might make 6 or 7 RWHP over stock?
Everyone says the Flowmasters are one of the most restrictive cat-backs. They also sound awesome though
A GMMG (Is $$$) but it by far the best sounding cat back, and is probably the best flowing. The only other cat-back's that may outflow it is the Borla, and a SLP Loud Mouth.
Best buy for your buck is a SLP Loud Mouth. Or a Hooker catback. If you plan on doing headers, an SLP Loud Mouth doesnt sound that good with headers/no cats.
Magnaflow isnt bad either. It will never rust, which is kinda cool.
I personally dont like the tone of the Hookers, or Magnaflows. I like the SLP, but from what everyone says, with headers they just dont sound good.
My Flowmaster sounds whicked, but apparently it doesnt flow too good. It was free though so im not fussing.
If you wanted something to make extra power when you want it, but not be overwhelmingly loud all the time, you could look at a electric cut out maybe?
