Exhaust question

I want to put my cutout in my stock exhaust in such a place so that it's straight pipes when open so my thought was to put it in place of the cat on my single cat lt1 and then re-locate the cat to the i-pipe in order to keep the car "emissions legal"

any ideaS?

will this wokr?

Re: Exhaust question

Why don't you just put it in the I pipe just before it goes over the axle?

Re: Exhaust question

you can probably get away with it in front of the cat, however "legally" you are not allowed to move the location of the cat.

so that depends on the strictness of your laws.

the other problem is having the cat too far from the engine and not reaching operating temp. but the 8-10" that the C/O would move it probably won't matter.

how bout you just have a pipe designed that houses the cutout in the same location as the cat. and when emissions testing comes along you can just swap it back in.
