Exhaust question

I have a MAC Catback exhaust on my 1994 Z28 M6. I wanted to know if i can buy just a muffler to replace the one on the cat back system. The MAC system bolts on using flanges. I wanted to change it because the exhaust sounds like S**t (i would never recommend this exhaust, it is very raspy and pops like crazy when you come off the throttle). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can replace just the muffler. You first need to find out the inlet/outlet diameter on the muffler, then just pick out a muffler with those same dimensions. Chances are it's a 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets.
