exhaust question

hey everyone....i put loudmouth on my 96 ss around a month ago and even though it sounds really good in my opinion i still think it doesn't sound as good as what it does on an ls1...i know alot of people tell me that whatever exhaust you go with will always sound better on an lt1 so i guess that is why i'm a little disappointed when i heard it on my friends ls1..so heres my question: i've never heard what my car would sound like if i gutted my cats but i'm sure someone up here has...does it sound good..does it make it any deeper? or does it sound like crap...thanks alot for all the help

You might not be happy gutting. Sometimes it can sound raspy and it will become irritating. i prefer deep rich sound over rasp. Hope this helps.

FYI, I had a gutted cat with a flowmaster muffler, and it wasn't raspy at all. Sounded really good. This was before the full exhasut. On my other T/A, we've got an ORP and dynomax setup, and that sounds AWESOME. Could be the hotcam kit though. Either way, if you don't have emissions, an ORP is nice.

why do you say "ha" in almost every post you make? I don't see what's so funny.
