From: Kansas,
? Exhaust port header matching ?

First of all you can move this if you want ... I bought a set of Canfields for a Lt1 , something they never released for production . And i am looking for a set of headers for them (they don't have the D shaped port , it's more like a 1.5" height and a 1.52" width on the port) All the headers I've looked at are not that big. Can I buy a set w/1.75" primary tubes w/ more of a square port and port the headers or does somebody know where I can get A set that will work ? Would porting the headers work ? Or would anyone know where i can get a set of 1 7/8 " headers ?Thanks in advance for any info .

Scott

ive never seen any lt1 headers that big before. you could buy 1 3/4 hooker longtubes and cut a portion of the tubes off at the flange and then maybee a few inches down the tube. then have someone weld 1 7/8 pieces onto them to replace the few inches you cut off. then you'll have 1 7/8 headers that will step down to 1 3/4. sounds like a kind of expensive venture to me though. could be kinda fun to do if you could do the work yourself though.
