Exhaust Leak

I'm pretty sure I have an exhaust leak where my i pipe meets up. What is the best way to fix the leak? Should I just have that part welded or is there a better way? Thanks

If so try just tightening the bolts. Mine was leaking and I tighented the bolts, they were all about 2 complete turns loose.

Double check where your exhaust is leaking. Test it by pouring 4 or more tablespoons of Automatic Trans Fluid into a fully warmed up and running engine. You can access the intake by removing the brake booster hose.

This will create smoke, which in a tight exhaust system will only leak at the tailpipe. But if you have leaks, then the smoke will leave from those openings.

About the bolts coming loose, you my want to consider getting new bolts. Perhaps they have past their "stretch" and loosen OR they were just ground below spec. Either way, they shouldn't be coming loose... more often than not they are rusted on...
