Exhaust leak

No one else can hear them, but I can and damn it. The car runs fine, but when I lift up the hood and listen I can hear this "tick tick tick tick" and I am pretty sure it's not the rocker arms. I am almost certain the slip fit is leaking, but I was wondering how do I find the exhaust leak? Thanks.

Re: Exhaust leak

I am not sure how to find exhaust leaks , I recently did my long tube install and thought I had a few leaks but couldn't find them. After a few weeks though I found black soot aroung the y pipe in a couple of the connection areas so I know that they need to have a better seal. BINGO leaks found

Re: Exhaust leak

u may just wanna try retorqing them camarokid, i was told by some friend who own a shop that once i get my headers on i'll need to retorqe them after a few weeks.. he explained it all to me, you may wanna try that and just see what you got, also, a really simple way to check is to just spray a soap/water solution around the connections and then turn the car on, if theres anything come out, you'll see bubbles.. wooo bubbles lol.. i dunno, just my opinion...
