Exhaust Opinons??

I have pacesetter longtubes with no cat and 3" piping all the way back to the quietest muffler that borla makes and it is QUIET! I want something a little louder and with a deep cleaner sound. What is a good muffler to throw on this setup? It has to have a 3" inlet on it too.

PS: I have tried a magnaflow I got off ebay before and it made it sound like a 3.8 in my opinion. The borla sounds good but you can barely hear it cruising. I don't want something to wake up a neighborhood or anything with an interior drone either.

The borla triflow muffler. It is quieter than stock almost.

I'll second the Hooker. It's nice and quiet under idle and light throttle but sounds AWESOME when you put it to the wood!

Re: Exhaust Junkies

You think so? The magnaflow I had made my car sound like a v6. I am not sure if it was the wrong one for my car or what but it wasn't a deep sounding muffler. I want something DEEP sounding.

Re: Exhaust Junkies

I also depends on if you want to avoid a drone. Flowmaster will have a
great sound but will also drone. The other option is a straight through
like the ultraflow or magnaflow but with the smallest volume of packing
like the ultraflow 17223 (3" in/out, 6" diameter, 16" long).

Re: Exhaust Junkies

his t/a sounded about the same as far as i can remember, it was through jet hot's and a off road y-pipe, now he has a 383 with the leII head/cam so it dosen't quite sound the same, lol

Re: Exhaust Junkies

Hughes,

You may want to look into a 40 series Delta Flow. My friend has a regular 40 on his 94 T/A with shorties and no cat. It's pretty loud, but unless you're right behind the car, it isn't an obnoxious loud, just noticeable, and I would bet the Delta Flow would be what you want. If not, then the Hooker would be my pick.
