Exhaust Heat Shields?

Exhaust Heat Shields?

i took my heat shields below my gas tank and above my muffler off, Then i thought about it? do you think this is dangerous?

should i put them back, or do i have nothing to worry about?


any help would be appreciated,

I'd put it back on, if not directly dangerous to fuel supply I would imagine your fuel would be pretty hot by the time it reached the engine and thats bad to.. preingnition I"d put it back on but who knows maybe I'm over doing it..Do you have headers or cat back exhaust ? cause that will make it even hotter... See what other comments you get. but theres mine

All mine are gone, save for the fuel tank. Hot fuel is never a good thing, and insurance never hurts.

I removed all of mine but I have true duals that don,t come near the gas tank.....if you still have exhaust running through there I would leave them.

i took them off because i heard something rattling,
but i put them back on the same day i took them off,
