This thing rattles and drives me crazy. I'm talkin about the metal shield betwen the tailpipe and the gas tank. Is it safe to ditch this crap? I was thinking about getting some header wrap and wrapping it where the shild is and throwing that rattly crap in the garbage. Anyone else have this problem? Ive tweaked and adjusted this thing many times but it still rattles.

 

I used a tube of high temp silicone. Gooped the back side where it was rattling. Problem solved.

 

I think my catback might be part of the problem. It fits a little different than the stock exhaust did. Its never rattled with the stock exhaust. I have the Flowmaster catback woth a Borla muffler.
