Re: Exhaust Cut-out

If you are using a stock exhaust, the 2.5" cutout. Just a thought though, some exhaust shops carry these and can weld them in for you at a modest fee.

WHAT?! The stock exhaust is 2.75 inch in diameter. I would go 3" like I did.

Thats correct, I wouldn't put anyting smaller than 2.75 in there, and since your only options are 2.5 and 3 I'd get the 3 inch.

Absolutely go with a 3" cutout!!!

Oh, and you're going to love the very loud, incredibly mean rumble...

Just fill in the 1/8th of an inch with weld.

Re: Exhaust Cut-out

I got mine at the exhaust shop. I believe it's 3". It took literally like 10 mins to do. It cost me 50 bucks for the cutout and install and stainless steel bolts. I have all stock exhaust except the muffler. When I dynoed my car I got 271 rwhp with it capped and 274 with it open. It does add a nice sound to the car. I've heard of people getting up to 10rwhp with theirs but I have never seen one around here.

Re: Exhaust Cut-out

Most shops have a pipe expander, They can easily make you some adapters that will match up perfectly from 2.75 to 3 inch out of some small peices of pipe.

Re: Exhaust Cut-out

Go with 3inches take it to someone who can weld, give em' 20 bucks and kick back and relax.

It sounds most excellent, you'll get stares and glares from just about everyone you pass. Cars don't get much louder than this.
