SOMEONE HELP! I need a lid for a 3inch exhaust cut out on a 1993 formula. I don't knwo where to get just the lid and not have to pay 60 bucks for a hole cut out kit. Does anyone know where I can get just a lid? I have seached ebay and all the web for about a half hour. I did the search on this site too! Anyone?

 

Make one, go under the car and measure the size plate you'd need, get a piece of steel and gasket then just put the holes where you ned them to be.

 

thats probably what i am going to have to do, make one. I simply need it because i am going to pick up a car this weekend and i would think that driving 300 miles back home with open headers could get a little loud, just have to turn the stereo up if not. I could just deal with it, who doesn't like the sound of a small block? Thanks!

 

well i have one i could send you but you wouldn't get it by the weekend so it would't help out to much. Just drive with it open. It will be loud but after about 60miles or so, u will be used to it.

 

Thanks Drewstealth! I managed to fabricate one out of an electrical box cover, 1/8 inch stock pretty much. It sould hold up for the drive home. I plan to remove the cutout anyway, I want a flowmaster exhaust system, probably 3inch, nothing special, with a 3inch y-pipe. I really didn t want to spend the 60 bucks everywhere i called wanted for the kit, just for one lid for 1 day. Thanks though!

I am not concerned with it, I jsut don't want to draw attention to it being that it won't have a real tag, private party seller out of state, no temp tag. That is my only concern, not to draw attention to me.
