I just got my Hooker Cat-back, and I am gonna rip the cat out and put in an off-road pipe. Has anyone put a cut-out in the center of the O.R. pipe? It would just be easier to weld it in the O.R. pipe and bolt it all in at once, rather than to go hacking on the Y-pipe?

I think you answered your own question.

Just tac weld it first so you can test fit and then do the final welding. Measure twice and cut once and all that jazz.
