im going to be installing my headers tonight, since i have a straight pipe welded in, there is no longer any flanges on my exhaust. THe y pipe i got has a cat welded onto it, the other end has a flange. If i cut that flange off can i just put a exhaust adaptor there? There will only be about 3/4 of an inch left to the pipe after the flange is cut off. Will that be alright? Also i know the stock i pipe is 2.75, but is it the same on the cat? What would be my best way to make this fit. I just need it to fit till i get to a shop tomarrow and have them weld it. I was also thinking i could drive home with just the open headers or would that be to loud? The cat has a straight pipe welded into it.
