Talking Ever run a M6 with an A4 chip?

Having solved my stalling/computer/running problems by isolating the problem to a fried chip, I put the stocker (aftermarket tune) chip back in it. Went to drive the car today, and noticed the speedo was pegged. D'OH!!!! Forgot previous owner did the PCMforless chip with the M6 tuning, but the previous chip (the one in there now) was still for an A4. That's pretty amusing!!! I put 14 miles on the cars odometer in about 1 mile of driving.

Yep, the vehicle speed sensors on M6 cars are totally different from the ones on A4 cars. They report a different amount of pulses per driveshaft revolution which is why you've had this problem.

I just found it really amusing that I didn't even think about that before I left for work this morning. Such is life. I've got a couple of 29C256 chips coming from Craig Moates website hopefully within the next couple of days. Hopefully, with a brand new chip, I can get the good tune for the setup burned and be back up to speed. :fingers crossed:
