I have about 750 miles on a new Delphi opti and I think it is the source of a noise under the hood. It sounds kinda rattly like something with bad ball bearings and surrounding plastic parts.

I've taken the belt off and it's still there, so the accessories are ruled out. I have a cloyes true roller timing chain (also new) under the cover but I really don't think it would make this kind of noise. When I put my finger on the coil wire boot I can feel vibrations that coincide with the noise.

Anyone else ever had this happen? I'm unsure if I've really pinpointed the noise source.
