Estimated crank horsepower with these mods?

How much horsepower do you think I would make at the motor with these mods? Borla catback, Moroso CAI, 1LE elbow, air foil, tb-bypass, CC305 cam, 1.6 RR with supporting parts [pushrods, springs ect], LT4 timing chain, electric water pump, Mac/RKSport/SLP/AZ&M mid-tube headers with high-flow cat, 52mm throttle body, and possibly a Delteq ignition system. With a dynotune?

And what if I swapped on a single-plane intake manifold set-up?

On stock heads with a good tune I would assume you could hit over 350rwhp.

I thought a single-plain would give more horsepower?

Re: Estimated crank horsepower with these mods?

Yea I'd say 425 at the motor would be about right with an m6...

Re: Estimated crank horsepower with these mods?

Just wondering, what does an M6 have to do with crank horsepower?

425fwhp is really about as close to ballpark as you can get with a guess. This is assuming everything else work perfect. I dont doubt 350rwhp with an A4.

Re: Estimated crank horsepower with these mods?

Everything I know about HP anymore is rated at the wheels since most people dont report engine dyno gains. Most think rear wheel power is what matter since thats a better estimate of how the car will perform, even though I'd say track times are the best indicator. I'd say 330-340rwhp depending on tranny, which I cant remember which you have. But you'd also have to take into account what converter or clutch your using, what gears you plan on matching with that cam, and suspension/tires to put the power to use. I for one can tell you that with just bolt on's, suspension, and converter, 315/35/17's cant handle the power on the street.

What are you goals for your setup, is it just a crank horsepower goal, rwhp, track time, 12 second car, or just beating someone you know? I only ask to better assess your situation.

Wow, I completely forgot about this post

Car is an A4 with 2.73 gears, at the moment anyway. Planning on upgrading to 3.73.

My goal is to get into the 12s on pump gas and street tires.

Suspension is listed in my sig.

So at least 400hp at the motor with a 305 cam. Sounds good to me.

You can get 9's on pump gas if you wanted to. Fuel grade isnt really the issue. You should be able to hit 12's with that cam if you practice you launch. Street tires are going to make you 60' crappy, but with the power youll be making with the cam and trap speed you should be able to hit 12's. I'd recommend some gears and/or converter before the cam, but even without them the the car will make good power, just dont expect to be a stoplight to stoplight car. You need to ride in my car before I get the cam in so you can see what a difference 3.73's and a Vigilante make in just a bolt on car.

Converter, gears, and bolt-ons will get you into the 12's.

And a little luck. What's easy for some isn't always the same for the rest of us. And for what the single plane will cost you, you would be better off spending your money elsewhere before you would really need one.

I didnt even see the single plane intake thing. Definately not a good investment. Put the money into gears or a converter.
