ES poly tranny mount or stock(help fast)

Should I do a stock replacment since mine is busted or go with the poly mount? I searched and see people get vibrations from the ES mount. How bad is the vib. I get a little vibe now anyways. Not that bad and only at very high speeds like 110 or better. I need to know before I go buy this ES mount today. BTW what is the part # for a ES on a 97. I want to make sure he gives me the right one the first time.

Mine was horrible. The shifter physically acted like it wanted to come through the center console. It was the worst when at a complete stop all the way to 15mph. Just constantly sat there banging. Then it calmed down some after 15mph. It was so bad, my gf refused to ride in the car til I replaced it. Changed it after 2k. Put a 1LE mount in and all is great again. I've only heard a few others with autos fuss about their problem being as severe as mine.

Try the ES mount. If it doesn't work, you can sell it on the board and get most of your money back.

Did ES fix their problem with the mount being too tall? I'd vote Prothane on the trans mount but it seems he's already getting the ES one.

Yep, lots of guys hate the poly tranny mount, I on the other hand love mine.
Yes it vibrates a bit but with LTs and purple hornys I don,t notice it much anymore.
If your going to put some power down then get the poly mount.
If your going to drive your car everyday then go with the 1LE and it should be fine.
I have poly everything on my car and it all seems to work good together.

The Es mount isn't that bad. It vibrates badly until it breaks in. The Es mount is not vehicle specific it is a universal product and works on many vehicles. Some of which require a spacer between the mount and the transmission. The ES mount comes with a spacer. Originally I put it on and took it out 6mo. later and most of the bad vibes were gone.

I say go with the ES mount it will last much longer. Just dont use the spacer and you will be fine.

Cool

I just ditched my poly because it wasn't buff enough. I put in a solid...hopefully now I'll be able to tell when the car is running .
