Error code while trying to flash...help

I hooked up everything right and ran the program. I put in the file name, that worked. Asked me what port, did that and it worked. Told me to plug everything in and I did and then waited 20 seconds (read that I should do that) and then hit proceed. Here is what came up:

Fatal Error Program Terminated
Program error code 5
Program error code address 10452

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I wish I could just get this damn thing on the road. Five bucks to first person who gets this damn thing to work!!!

so let me guess.. your fans wont turn off and your SES light is blinking. if my predictions are correct then you have successfully toasted a PCM. you can try unplugging the neg battery terminal or pulling the PCM fuse to reset it and see if that will let you run another flash.

Well it stopped at "establishing communications" or something like that so I don't even think it connected. I did however get freescan to run so I know the cable is good. My fans aren't on and the ses isn't blinking but I'll try unplugging neg. terminal and trying again. I am trying some other things out as well. God darn why can't they make this process easier (hell I'll take hard if it would even WORK!)

Any help guys...

Your PCM is fine, there are thousands of problems with that loader program, windows uses a "fake" DOS program while that program was designed for true non windows DOS. Talk to me on AIM and i'll give you something that works.

I work with Windows all day long basically, and I still dont trust it, no matter how stable my NT stuff is, DOS 6.2 is the best they ever did.

oh ok... your computer is fine. are you using windows XP? youll need to download tunercats windows flashing utility if you have XP. otherwise you need to boot up in DOS and try flashing that way. good luck
