Error Code 29 AIR pump LT1

Hi I new here and was hoping someone could help me figure out what error code 29 (air pump circuit) means. I have a 94 Z28 and getting ready to sell the car but lately the SES light comes on. I put a diagnostic tool on it and either is running fine on car except for the code 29. Does any know where this air pump is or how to fix it??? Car has had the CAT removed and also car has only 13K miles on it.

Thanks for any help.

The code is only set if the fuse for the AIR pump blows. You can try replacing the fuse. If the fuse continues to blow, either the AIR pump is rusted up and drawing too much current, or you have a wiring problem.

In the 94/95 OBD-I computers, you can just unplug the electrical connector at the AIR pump, then make sure there is a good fuse in the circuit, and the SES light will go away. The code will remain stored until you clear it, or you go through a number of drive cycles without the problem happening again.

I know this is another dumb question but where is the AIR pump on the LT1's? I was looking in my GM service book last night couldn't find where it is?

Thanks,
Jimmy
