engive removal...

trying to pull the engine block...

i have all teh bellhouse bolts off between the block and the bellhouse itself...

now when i try to pull the block out the flywheel is starting to come out with the engine...

i can't get the flywheel seperated form teh engine block...i've tried wiggling it around and side to side and twisting and up and down motions...but no luck...also i dind't think the flywheel would come out of the bellhousing...any help ?

The flywheel is bolted to the crank, and the disc and pressure plate are bolted to the flywheel. It all must come out with the block unless you drop the tranny first and unbolt everything from the crank.

So the flywheel isn't "separating" from the block, as if it's attached to the tranny?

If so, make sure the dust shield between the block and flywheel is removed. Sounds like the dust shield is still attached to the bellhousing, and getting caught up on the flywheel when trying to separate it from the motor.

its NOT seperating..

anyway i guess i'll have to take out the bolts that are between the bellhouse and the tranny then the engine should come out right?

Allow me to clarify.

There is a dustshield attached to the end of the bellhousing that fits behind the flywheel. Hence, if you try to remove the tranny from the motor without removing this shield, it will not separate since it sits behind the flywheel. In your case, since the shield is: 1) attached to the bellhousing and 2) sits behind the flywheel, the shield is stuck/pulling on the flywheel.

Just remove the dust shield from the bellhousing and the tranny should separate.

for some odd reason this guy doesn't realize the flywheel SHOULD come out with the block. It SHOULDN'T seperate from the block.

Sounds like he needs to pull the clutchfork back away from the TO bearing still too.
