Engine wont start after rain
help
Every time it rains my firebird refusues to start. It will turn over but wont fire up. If the car sits for a while, sometimes overnight, then it will fire up on a single turn of the key and run fine. There is no stumbling or missing and it will rev to the redline and back smoothly. The idle is a constant 750-800 rpms. But during or right after a rain shower, the most it will do is choke and sputter a couple times like its about to start. I popped the hood this morning (rained all night) and nothing appeared to be wet. PCM dry too. Wouldn't start. I know from other posts its likely the plug wires, opti, coil, or ignition module. Would the opti be that sensitive to moisture to not let the car run? Hopefully you guys can help me rule something out. Thanks.
