Engine storing suggestions or recommendations

Hey guys

I will be having my motor pulled out of my car today because I will be putting a new heads, cam, intake on it. I have the original heads,rr,lifters, pushrods, and intake sold.so it will be sitting as a bare block(no top half of motor) As of right now I will not be able to take motor to my engine builder for a couple of weeks, the motor will be in my shed for about a month, it's not very insulated. is there any suggestions about storing this.

Thanks Phil

Just oil the cylinders and what ever else you think has potential for surface rust. Then put a big trash bag over it and tie it up that will help for moisture too.

If you can, pick up an engine storage bag (they're super cheap). A trash bag is far too thin to provide ample protection from the elements. You want it airtight. This is an instance where EVERYTHING should be coated in oil.

Where would I get the engine cover from. I am assuming just use straight engine oil wipe down cylinders and top of pistons?
