Engine Sensor problem.

Here goes:

At first the fuse would only blow if I go on it at least 50% throttle, sometimes it wouldnt blow at all, but right before it blows the headlights dim the tach and speedo needles jump back and forth and then the fuse pops. Its not the 02 sensors and it use to only pop the fuse when it entered closed loop, now it pops the fuse as soon as I turn the key "ON" so now its a sensor shorting out when the car is cold and in open loop. So whatever it is, its something that is in the ENG SENS circuit.

Has anyone had this problem, or have any indication what to look for? This is my only car and I cant get anywhere to eat or anything without it.

Also I cant log it to find the problem now since the fuse pops as soon as I turn the key, so I cant find out which sensor it is.

Pull the fuse, probe the socket for a ground on the load side and then start unplugging the sensors that are fed by the fuse until the ground goes away. If it does not, you might have a burned wire somewhere that is grounding out.

What all sensors are governed by that fuse? I know the two O2's and it also controls the TC lockup but thats it?

Thanks for the help!

Also when I pull the code it says MAF system failure if that matters.

Your owner's manual tells you what the fuses are for.

Alright I got the fuse to stop blowing, but now the engine is doing all sorts of stuff. I was able to capture it in Datamaster.

Here is the file if you are able to help out, it almost seems to me that the PCM is taking or took a dump. I keep getting MAF system failure and I switch MAFs and still get it? Plus its throw all sorts of random DTC codes.

THANK YOU ALL FOR ANY AND ALL HELP!! I CANNOT THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH!

If you "export as .csv" anyone can look at your file. By posting the TTS .uni file, only DataMaster owners can open it.

How did you get the fuse to stop blowing?

Have you checked all your grounds to make sure they are clean and tight?

Oh, I didnt know that.. I'll try to take care of it when I get back in town.

Im pretty sure it was the EGR plug that I left hanging and it was grounding out on the intake, so I wrapped the end in electrical tape and tied it out of the way.
The only ground I have been able to check is the one that comes off of the coil/MAF wiring harness, I will double check them when I get back in town.

Thanks for the help guys!
